We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We design with keyboard navigation, screen readers, color contrast and reduced motion in mind.
Accessibility tools on this site
Use the accessibility button in the corner of every page to:
- Increase or decrease text size.
- Switch to high contrast or dark reading mode.
- Underline links, use a more readable font and increase text spacing.
- Pause animations, switch to grayscale and enlarge the cursor.
Known limitations
Some third-party content, such as embedded maps, may not be fully accessible. We are working with providers to improve this.
Accessible design work
Separately from this website, we design and build accessibility features into renovations: clear doorway widths, turning space, grab-bar blocking, zero-threshold entries, reach ranges and lighting levels.
Dimensions published on our aging-in-place page follow widely recognised accessibility guidance and are illustrative. The requirement that applies to a specific project depends on the use, the occupant and the jurisdiction.
